What is iOS App Development?

iOS App Development — explained without the jargon.

iOS users spend 2.5× more than Android users on in-app purchases. If you're building a paid app, a subscription product, or revenue-critical mobile experience, iOS quality matters disproportionately. Our iOS engineers ship native — Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, async/await — and obsess over App Store review compliance because we know how expensive a rejection can be when you're trying to hit a launch date.

Why it matters

Three things most teams get wrong about ios app development.

01

iOS revenue per user is 2.5× Android

In paid-app and subscription categories, iOS is where the money is. Quality on Apple's platform pays.

02

App Store review is unforgiving

A single guideline violation kills your launch. We've memorised Apple's review guidelines — and shipped 60+ approvals to prove it.

03

SwiftUI is the future

New apps on Swift + SwiftUI are 40% less code than UIKit. We start there for any new project unless legacy demands UIKit.

What's included

Everything we ship under iOS App Development.

01

Swift + SwiftUI

Modern Swift 5.9+, SwiftUI for new UI, UIKit only when iOS 14 support is required.

02

Combine / Async/await

Reactive data flow, structured concurrency. No callback hell, no race conditions.

03

Apple HIG-compliant UI

Navigation patterns, accessibility (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type), Haptics — done right.

04

SKAdNetwork & ASA-ready

Attribution wired correctly for SKAdNetwork 4. Apple Search Ads campaign integration if you run them.

05

App Store optimisation

Title, subtitle, keywords, screenshots, video preview — the ASO baseline that wins downloads.

06

iCloud / CloudKit

iCloud sync, CloudKit for cross-device data, Sign in with Apple — when the platform integrations matter.

Subscription app: 4.9★, 38% trial-to-paid, 320K iOS installs

A meditation subscription app needed an iOS rebuild after their first agency shipped a UIKit mess that crashed on iOS 16. We rebuilt in SwiftUI with proper Combine data flow, integrated StoreKit 2 for subscriptions, optimised the trial-to-paid conversion funnel, and shipped to a 4.9★ App Store rating. Trial-to-paid conversion improved from 22% to 38% in the rebuild.

FAQ

Questions you were going to ask anyway.

Is SwiftUI ready for production?
Yes — for iOS 14+ targets. We use SwiftUI as the default UI framework for new apps and reach for UIKit only when we need a specific UIKit-only capability or backwards compatibility past iOS 14.
How do you handle subscriptions?
StoreKit 2 with proper receipt validation, retry queues, family sharing, introductory offers, win-back offers, and StoreKit Configuration files for local testing. Subscriptions are revenue-critical — we treat them that way.
Can you get the app approved first try?
Almost always. Our pre-submission review checklist covers the top 40 reasons apps get rejected. Last 60+ submissions: zero rejections.
What's the minimum iOS version you support?
Depends on your audience and what features you need. Default for new apps is iOS 16+. We'll go iOS 14 if your market needs it. Anything below iOS 14 we'd only support for enterprise apps with locked deployments.
Do you do Apple Watch / iPad / Mac companions?
Yes — though each is a distinct UX project. We've shipped watchOS companions for FinTech and fitness apps, iPad apps with Stage Manager, and macOS catalysts.
